Can you see the new drive letter in My Computer? I usually set the jumpers to CS (cable select) then connect the 80pin data ribbon in the following manner. Check the drive label for jumper settings or go to the manufacturer's site. [:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::] [: : : : :] [ 0000 ] The jumper block is between the data cable and the power connector. []=================[]==========[] IDE1 slot Slave Master Mainboard HDD2 HDD1 Windows won't recognize the drive if it has a bad format, the partition is damaged, the drive is not partitioned and unformatted. The drive could also have a bad controller card. Mark |

If you mean, while in windows explorer, there is no drive letter for it, means one of two things. Windows can't see it, or, you need to give it a drive letter in disk management. Dave |
