RE: Floppy drive

Hi,

There is always a possibility of read failure with floppy disks. And the
reasons could be the following.

1. bad media.
2. dust accumulated on the floppy.
3. unreadable files.

Please see if you experience the same problem with other floppy disks.

Always take precautions when using floppy drives and store the disks in a
clean box away from dust and also follow the safety mechanism of having
multiple backup disks especially for recovery disks.

As a last option please contact your hardware vendor to check the floppy
drive for errors.

RE: Floppy drive

I have a similar problem and when I try to format the floppy the system
responded that the disk is write protected. The drive worked fine before the
SP2 update.
