| RE: svchost.exe-Application Error Yes, disable automatic updates. If you set this to manual updates, the svchost.exe error does not occur. | RE: svchost.exe-Application Error It's been 3 months since you posted this answer. I had the same problem with two new Dells. Why are you the only one who seems to have the solution to this problem. MS has a fix, of course, but they make you jump through hoops to get it. Mahalo to you for knowing the answer and sharing it. | RE: svchost.exe-Application Error I had "svchost.exe-Application Error" . I tracked it down to the Automatic Updates service. I applied hotfix KB927891 to fix it.
