Since Mark didn't specify which is the case, the reply with
the most general application would be slipstreaming on a CD.
That would work if there was a floppy controller and a floppy
drive or not.

It's my understanding that XP SP2 supports SATA and no driver
installation is needed.

I've yet to encounter a motherboard that doesn't have a floppy controller,
but then again, I don't order motherboards on a weekly basis. Are you
speaking hypothetically, or can you provide a link?
