Open apps missing from tasknar

Windows XP Home Edition, SP2:
Don't know what I've done, but my bottom taskbar doesn't show my running
apps any more.
I have to open the Task Manager to see what's running.
What do I have to do to get them back ?

Re: Open apps missing from tasknar

Hi,
Have you tried right-clicking on the taskbar and choosing properties?
You can either uncheck the box for Hide Inactive Icons or click
Customize next to that and see if you have anything in there you want to
"show".
Take Care...

Yes, tried all the usual things - no effect.
But 'Lady Kelly's tool' did the trick. A very slick little utility.

Hi there...
Kelly is the phenom of support for these Operating Systems. I am a
power user and an advanced user and I have been using her tips since XP
made its debut. I recommend them to many people. Glad you solved your
problem.
Also, Kudos to Doug Knox and Ken Blake who are two I have faith in and
have been impressed with for years. They won't steer you wrong.
Take Care...
Dee

Re: Open apps missing from tasknar

Hi Ken...
And it is all well deserved. It's been awhile since I have been to the
newsgroups but I remember well the old Windows 98 days and communicating
with you when we first began delving into the XP OS.
Wanted to make mention to new users to your always sound and good advice
and tips.
Take Care Ken,
Dee
