| R-click on G drive reboots computer.... Since replacing 2KPro with XP Pro, r-clicking on my G:/ drive ( either the shortcut icon on my ZDesktop or in Windows explorer) reboots the computer! Further, when I try to delete the shortcut to the drive from my Desktop, the same thing happens--the computer reboots. This is the only drive which developed this problem. The G:/ drive is a Zio card reader/writer. R-clicking on it used to give me the Safe-eject option when I had 2KPro. Now it gives no menu but rather reboots. When I then changed the G:/ drive to one of my external hard drives to test, it gave the same problem. Now the G:/ drive is back to the card reader. I have a Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray, but ejecting the card from the card-reader is not the same as removing the hardware. So I've just been ejecting when I believe it to be safe. But I would like to remove the g-drivre short-cut from my Desktop. Thanks for the help! Janet |
