| Anti-Virus +Others If I have a dual boot system on the same Disc do I need to install Anti-Virus ,Ad-Aware, SpyBot etc on both partitions? I have WIN98 Ver 1 on the "C" drive and WINXP on the "D" drive and both on a Dell Inspiron 8200 Laptop. If I am repeating this question I apologise, could not find a reference to my first attempt. Thanks in anticipation tom |

| RE: Anti-Virus +Others Although you can set most AV software to scan your entire computer, it's still a good idea to have Active AV software on whatever OS is active, Just my personal opinion, I also have a dual boot, and yes I have AV and antispyware on both partitions. Didn't you just ask this question the other day? And got quite a few very good answers, too. Next time use Google Groups Advanced Search and search for you name. You need a separate antivirus and firewall on every MS operating system. It doesn't matter whether it is a multi-boot situation or not. XP Home has both of them, and has internet access. ME and 98SE have no internet access, both are hidden from XP Home via a 3rd party boot manager option at boot time. -- Jonny |
