Cryptographic services?

i get the following message when treying to install the latest version of
direct x.. "A cabinet file necessary for installation can not be trusted.
please verify the cryptographic services are enabled and the cabinet file
certificate is valid." i have no idea how to verify any of this. any help
would be apreciated.

thanks but it didnt help. am thinking its not the krypographic service but
the cabinet file ceertificate. only thing left to try. how would i update
that if its corupted?
