I've tried the following, and it seems to have helped: I ran a program that lets me choose a refresh rate and resolution (not from NVidia, but it works with NVidia graphic cards). Another utility let me update my NVIdia driver and seemed to find an even newer driver version. Between these two, the problem finally has gone away. I wasn't sure what finally solved the problem, but you seem to suggest that autoadjust and refresh rate are linked somehow. In any case, I'm glad this worked. You can't imagine how restful it is to boot into windows and not have to reset the screen resolution every time! Thanks for helping out. Margo Guda. |
