| Xp memory error Not sure where to post this windows xp pro, sp2, p4-3ghz, 1gb ram occasionally, all running applications will appear as minimized windows on the desktop. this includes windows system services. user programs open are outlook, msaccess, and ie6. in this particular case, the user went to open a Word docuement and about 25 minimized windows popped into the taskbar and onto the desktop. i restarted explorer, didnt fix - had to log out user and relog on. any ideas? thanks james |

| RE: Xp memory error If memory is the problem(s),1st try unplug power,remove memory cards,clean plug-in connectors on the memory cards,an eraser works ok,switch the cards around,start pc.If problems still exist,go to:http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp Download and install microsofts memory tester to a MS-DOS formatted floppy, boot to floppy,run the tests..I believe it works off a cd also....
