| Windows Defender: needed?? Windows Update shows that my PC needs Windows defender (Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB915597 (Definition 1.20.2825.10)). I am worried that installing this program may bring down the speed. Is this really needed?      |

| Re: Windows Defender: needed?? If WU tells you that you need a definitions update, then I'd assume the application is already installed. The definitions update certainly won't cause any change in performance. -- Gary S.
