Registry Entry Run-

I have the registry folder "Run-" under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run-

The only thing in it is the default entry and MSMSGS.

MSMSGS REG_SZ "C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe"/background

Is this something that is normal? I do not even use Messenger, although I
have noticed that Outlook uses it.

thanks!

BW

Re: Registry Entry Run-

This is an entry that's been disabled through the use of some utility. The
Run sub key is processed. The Run- subkey is unknown to Windows, so is not
processed. This appears to be the behavior of a version of TweakUI, or
similar tweaking program.

Re: Registry Entry Run-

Doug,

thank you for your response. I am assuming that it is safe to delete this
reg entry?

Thanks!

BW
