i keep trying to install the .net framework 2.o security update and it keeps
failing. I looked in my add/remove programs and I do not have a .net
framework product installed. Should I install .net framework and if not how
do i get rid of the nag for the update?

Add the Windows Updates group to your Outlook Newsgroups by clicking this
link: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof....windowsupdate

You'll find plenty of people there with the same problem you're having. Some
are even getting solutions.
