| Re: lose connection with usb hard drive Hello, 1) Try connecting to another port 2) Hook up the external power supply if your hard disk allows for one to be connected to it 3) Try it on another PC to rule out the hard disk being malfunctioning -- Singapore Website Design http://www.bootstrike.com/Webdesign/ Singapore Web Hosting http://www.bootstrike.com/WinXP/faq.html Windows XP FAQ "musicfreak91967" <musicfreak91967@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:9A507BC7-D1DA-4B91-B056-9DB1869DA2F9@microsoft.com... >i have an external hard drive (usb) it works fine sometimes then all of a > sudden i lose conection with it. i have to uninstall usb universal host > controllers a number of times before it works. what is going on? and what > can > i do to fix? |
