Task Scheduler

I go to Control Panel / Add a New Task (Scheduler). I fill out all the
apppropriate windows, including a password, and at the end I am informed: THE
NEW TASK HAS BEEN CREATED, BUT IT MAY NOT RUN BECAUSE THE ACCOUNT INFORMATION
COULD NOT BE SET.... THE SPECIFIC ERROR IS: 0x80070005.
What am I doing wrong? How do I correct it?.......... Thank you........

Try creating a dedicated account/password for scheduled tasks,
then use it when scheduling the task. Note that blank passwords
are not acceptable.

Open the task and you will see a check box called "Run only if logged
on". Tick that and it will run if YOU are logged in.

Re: Task Scheduler

You say "including a password". It MUST be the password for the account,
NOT one you made up at this point in the Wizard.
