Network Connection Icon - Shows Not Connected when am Connected.

In my package tray, my network Icon for a wireless connection shows "x" out,
disconnected, when I really am connected. When I view all avaialbe wireless
networks, it shows connected. If I launch My Network Places, it shows no
connected. I really am connected to the internet, as you can see by this
posting!

Please help.

2012 is on a distinguished road
Re: Network Connection Icon - Shows Not Connected when am Connected.

Restack your TCP/IP

1. Click Start. Click Run. Type cmd. Click OK.
2. On the C:/> prompt, type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt".
3. Press the Enter key.
4. Restart the computer.

Note: If you're not in root, type "cd /" (without the quotation marks,) followed by the enter key to get to root.

I know this is an old thread, but this should fix that. For anyone else who has this problem in future also.
