| Slow local file opening in Explorer when connected in remote I have a PC (XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 2) that works fine when connected to my Company network or when disconnected and used as a stand alone machine. When I disconnect the PC from the Company network and I connect it to an IP using remote access (no matter about the provider) and I double click a local (C:) file through Explorer, the system pauses for 60 – 70 s and then opens the file (.doc, .xls, .pdf, .txt, ...) e.g. 1kB dimension. I can open the files immediately by starting the relevant program, then opening the file. The anomaly is not related to the browser used to navigate or to the mail client. In fact the problem is present just after the remote connection takes place, without the need to open the browser or the mail client. The problem is not related to my PC, also another PC of my Company has the same symptoms. The PC always had this problem since the installation. |
