| My Computer folder automatically opens every time... The "My Computer" folder automatically opens every time that you log on to a Windows XP ? I cheked the Reg. key - HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon for a value of Userinit. Its value is = C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe, I checked the knowledge base and tried to solve the problem. The KB describes the cure like this: Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\ Explorer\Advanced In the right pane, right-click PersistBrowsers, and then click Modify. In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, type 0 under Value data, and then click OK. But I could not find the "PersistBrowsers" in the same way as it decribed. Please help me... |
