System Freeze - Technology Questions

System Freeze

Checked event viewer after system freeze while in Win XP Home and the latest
Source is Service Control Manager, Description is The Application Manager
Service terminated with the following error: The system cannot find the file
specified. Am going to check any previous posts on this and also do a google
search. Any help will be great. Also have to boot a few times before the
computer shows the welcome screen.
