Mirror image of C drive called X drive

My computer was running extremely slow and after looking around I discovered
that a mirror image of the C drive had been created called X drive. I was
able to restart my computer and it was gone and the computer was back to
running at a normal speed. A few days later it happened again and now I
cannot get rid of it. Can anyone give me some information on how to fix this?
Thanks

IIRC, "X Drive" is associated with an on-line storage company. Did you
sign up for the service or got involved with it? The symptoms are there,
viz., slowing of the computer due to an online Internet connection, a
mirrored drive that seems to be mapped to the computer, etc.

Re: Mirror image of C drive called X drive

We haven't signed up for any service of any kind. Thanks for responding to
the question. Do you know if this could be caused by a virus? We have virus
checkers etc and it is not showing anything? When I check the properties of
"local Drive X" it is exactly the same as "local Drive C". We have Windows
XP. IF you know of anything else about this or how I can fix it please let me
know. Thanks again

Got a Dell with Norton Ghost installed perhaps?
