| svchost.exe-Application Error When Windows booting, I get "svchost.exe-Application Error", and it state "The instruction at "0x021cafe2" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written", somtimes I get " "0x0235ad2a" referenced memory at "0x00000000". ". Then I get another error at " "0x7521b3e1"referenced memory at "0x00000009" The memory could not be "read." After I click ok, no audio, all shared folder disconnected, but the network still working fine. Is there a fix for this? |

| Re: svchost.exe-Application Error Give this a shot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932494 If the sound is onboard [built into the motherboard] then it's entirely possible that svchost is taking all of the CPU cycles causing the no sound issue. Download the Windows Update Agent for the version of XP installed, either 32 (x86) or 64 (x64)bit and save it. Then download KB928791, either 32 (x86) or 64 bit (x64) and save it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927891/ When the downloads complete install the Windows Update Agent first, then install KB927891, and restart the system. Did that resolve the issue ? MowGreen [MVP 2003-2007] =============== *-343-* FDNY Never Forgotten =============== N. | Re: svchost.exe-Application Error Well, it turns out another one. svchost.exe-application error, "The instruction at "0x7521b07e" referenced memory at "0x00000011". The memory could not be "written". I click OK, then PC no response. I tried to restart one of the svchost.exe in the taskmanager, it ll be awake with some of the devices are disabled. Any ideas? | Re: svchost.exe-Application Error Suggest you read this: http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=15574 Then have the system scanned by the Kaspersky Online Scanner: http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner That way you'll be as sure as possible from an online scan that there is no active/hidden malware.
