| XP cannot Search Network Share I have an xp machine that even though there are word documents in that share it will not find the files when I search for *.doc or even filename.doc I can navigate to the drive and get the files... its just search not working. I think theres a hot fix for this, but i cant find the KB article. thanks, Dan      |

I found the KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885843/en-us dowloaded the hotfix from here http://thehotfixshare.net/download/i.../Windows%20XP/ Installed the hotfix, rebooted and its good to go now. thanks everyone for the help.
