| Weird Sound Issue Just bought a new pc and I'm having weird issues with the sound card or sound settings. The problem is that for some reason, voice comes through the speakers muffled and really quiet. The weird part is that all other audio besides voice comes through fine. Mp3 files and music files arn't affected by the muffled dialogue. This is not a speaker problem, I've tried multiple speakers. Its also not in any of the volume control settings or speech, Ive adjusted them all. I also adjusted the speaker settings in the Realtek Audio manager with no results. There are no device conflicts either and all drivers are up to date. Ive even tried lowering the hardware acceleration and that doesnt help either. I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable about computers but I cant figure this out. Can anyone help? |

Your computer may be picking up the frequencies used by one nearby. Might require better grounding, shielding of some cables, or other methods to reduce the transmissions to negligible levels. -- Terry R. ***Reply Note*** Anti-spam measures are included in my email address. | RE: Weird Sound Issue I have the exact same problem, the omly differnce being that I built my PC. But my mate built more or less exactly the same PC as me (we built them at the same time in fact) and doesn't seem to have this problem. I've tired everything, this doesn't seem to be a very common problem cos I've not found it on any forums. But windows narrator is muffled and so is any other mic feed sent over the internet. |
