| Scheduling backups using NTBACKUP Hi, I have setup an automated incremental backup using NTBACKUP under my user ID and this is scheduled in XP schedule manager. Alas although I can see backups in the scheduler they will not kickoff for another user ID which is not what I want. I need them to kickoff independant of user. Any ideas whats going wrong and how to resolve? |

They probably do but they cannot finish because the account you use has insufficient access rights to the stuff you're trying to back up, or it uses as blank password. |

| Re: Scheduling backups using NTBACKUP Pegasus, Thanks for the reply - and good point. I noticed that the processes did kick off but failed to perform there tasks as required. When setting up the backup I provided my user account name and password as the account to use. I am the admim role my box. Any other thoughts about this? I think you're on the right track. Regards. | Re: Scheduling backups using NTBACKUP Since the task did start, your next job is to examine the backup log file. Look for files backup??.log deep inside your profile folder.
