Open Source Backup Software - BackupPC?

Hello,

Has anyone tried this software? (http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/)

I just have one or two home PCs I want to backup - is this the free
software I should be using?

Or could someone point out a free ware or shareware back up program
that is easy to use, and works to restore a pc?

Thanks,

Corso

Re: Open Source Backup Software - BackupPC?

Backing up is different to Imaging; if thats what you meant by "restore a
pc"
If however by restore you mean data, then any backup software does that
Many PC mags, this side of the pond, include backup software in their free
CD's
Sourceforge is usually a good resource for software

Re: Open Source Backup Software - BackupPC?

I would like both - imaging for really bad mess ups and backup
software for desktop PCs.

Which ones do you use?

I would prefer something open source - hence free or smaller charge.

Thanks,

Corso

Re: Open Source Backup Software - BackupPC?

I dont use open source for either
I use True Image for imaging, Backer sync software to copy data to an
external, & IBackup offline backup
