On the right side of taskbar where the network connection icons normally are
have vanished. My connection works but the icons arent there anymore. I have
the norton internet security icon the safely remove hardware and clock. Ya
know the one that says "network cable is unplugged" when you pause the mouse
over it.
its not there anymore.

win xp sp2 alienware notebook area 51. Im using comcast cable modem. the
machine doesnt have an internal wireless card. when Im gone at work I use a
seira wireless card with cingular account.

Ideas anyne? Im sure you'll want more info in order to help with this
question.

Go to the properties of your network connection and untick "show icon in
notification area ... " and then exit. Open it again and retick "show
icon in notification area ... " and it will appear again in the systray.
