| Application Switching Behavior with TaskBar Has anyone ever seen a user click on an item in the task bar and Windows automatically minimize the current app and open the target app in a non-maximized window? We have user that insists that before we installed the latest application on her PC, that when she had one app up on her screen, she could click on another in her task bar and the first app would minimize without effort from her and the one clicked on would come up in a non-maximized window. Does anyone know how to configure Windows to do this? WinXP sp2 Thanks... Ray |

Open Internet Properties, Advanced tab, select "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts", which is approximately the 17th item on the list. That should make IE, and possibly Explorer windows open in the same window. -- Joe =o) |

| Re: Application Switching Behavior with TaskBar Thanks to all... Personally - I think the user is a wee bit looney.... They'll just have to learn to run Windows like the rest of us...
