Monitor will not wake from hibernate or standby

I have a Toshiba A15 laptop, running XP home with all updates. I
recently reinstalled XP and now the monitor will not wake up from
hibernate or standby. I have wake from keyboard and wake from lan
enabled; I have the latest bios installed. It worked fine before I
reinstalled the operating system. I have the Toshiba reinstall disk,
not the full XP program. Thanks for any suggestions.

Make sure that SP2 has been installed.

Thanks, but no, that didn't fix it.

Well, since it worked prior to the WinXP reinstallation, I suspect that
this might be a driver issue according to the article above. Make sure
that there are the same drivers (updates) installed and select another
suitable monitor from the list for testing, eg. "Plug&Play Monitor".
Good luck.

Re: Monitor will not wake from hibernate or standby

I found the problem. I have a Linksys wireless network adapter. It
was set to allow XP to shut it down if idle. When I disabled that
setting, it worked fine. Thanks for the suggestions.
