Windows Genuine Advantage Kit. Windows XP Professional

Having been 'illegal' unbeknown to me until I wanted to publish a website in
FrontPage I decided to become legal and bought Kit - above.

Found that the kit doesnt contain Office and its inclusions. They are
still on my computer somewhere. How can I get them out and use them?

But what was 'illegal' WinXP or Office?

If it was office, whichever version you dont say, you can remove it in
Add/Remove dialogue, if you have the cd

Microsoft Office has *NEVER* been a art of Microsoft Windows.

Now that you have a legal copy of the OS installed, you will have to
purchase a legal copy of Microsoft Office to install.

Thank you, that's what I feared! Its a pity Microsoft accept that a person
can become 'illegal' through the computer shop and allow a discounted price
for
Windows Advantage but dont provide the same options for Office in the same
situation. Thanks for your help.

Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for these illegal copies of XP and
Offic?

Re: Windows Genuine Advantage Kit. Windows XP Professional

Wait..... what?

I just received the free "Genuine Advantage Kit" for WindowsXP Professional,
because I had qualified for one, as I bought I new computer with XP Pro
pre-installed.

Are you saying that I will have NO Windows Office programs if I install from
this CD?

Also: Will installing from the "Genuine Advantage Kit" essentially reformat
my whole computer; ie: loose all other pre-installed software programs??

Eeps O.o
