The longer they can remain with XP the better the hardware will become
during that time... and when they finally select
to go to vista they will be able to buy a 4 or even 8 core machine. Vista
needs power because its a bloat monster.

Also service packs and other fixes will be out.

MS however said that this news in that article unfortunately was incorrect..
as I predicted some time ago..

Let's see what happens. There are IT departments that are accepting
new computers as they come, equipped with Vista while others are rolling
them back out with Windows XP-SP2 + updates. And a few other IT managers

don't live in communist societies here. Most people here don't want to hear
that XP is better than Vista. Its only your opinion. Your not the

I LIKE Vista -- on my laptop -- and as with a lot of people, I like to have
XP on my desktop where its stability helps me through a lot of the Vista
hassles of its growing up.

So if there are posts that relate to XP (other than redundant comparisons)
they are helping me keep my sanity sometimes dealing with Vista, which I am
liking more as time goes on, but can be a major PITA a lot of the time.

Newsgroups ought to have threads the way forums do. Then there could be
subgroups for "Vista Sucks", "XP Rules", "Flaming Assholes", and all that,
and at least one thread could address serious Vista issues.
