| Stuck in US Regional Settings!!!! I can not reset my US Regional and Language Settings in Control Panel! I switch to English (AU), press OK, then reopen RLS and it reverts back to US in my account. I have full administrative rights; and when a collegue logs into another admin account on my machine, it remains in the AU setting. And I can not customise the US setting, because it will not accept the d/m/yyyy convention. Your help is appreciated. |

| Re: Stuck in US Regional Settings!!!! Sorted it myself! The Registry Key HK Current User/Control Panel/International did not exist. I created it; and when I changed my settings, it populated, the settings stuck, and all is sweet and lovely with the world now. |

| Re: Stuck in US Regional Settings!!!! I managed to fix this when I had a similar problem. I couldn't switch to UK keyboard even with admin access and I suspected some missing file or registry problem so I:- - copied all the *.nls and kbd*.dll files from the SYSTEM32 folder from a WORKING WindowsXP computer - exported registry entries from the working computer registry which I found by searching for "kbduk" (only the 2 keys found in HKEY LOCAL MACHINE were necessary), saving them as two .reg files and then importing them on the damaged machine (double-clicking them should do it) This allowed me to choose UK keyboard in Regional Settings and it all now works.
