Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 update stops halfway

WHen I update using the 266 Meg file, it stops installing at the point where
it says
"Checking for necessary space" while the Detailes says "Running processes
before install".

Does someone know how to fix this?

Ron,

I have been to this website before and did everything it says, does not fix
the problem.

I even did a Repair Windows XP.
