| Lose connection I have a HP running Windows XP which was purchased in December. It is connected to a router with ethernet. A few months ago it began to lose my internet connection once or twice a day while it was running. I work on the internet a good bit and it is a problem to have to reboot two or three times a day. Reboot always reconnects. Any ideas? -- Windows XP user |

Reboot the machine and try to connect. Scan for malwares from here: http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad-...e_personal.php HTH. Regards, nass ------ www.nasstec.co.uk |

I had the same problem last year and even throwing in a brand new hard drive and doing a brand new Windows XP install, it did the same thing. I have two machines with the same motherboard and the other machine started to do the same thing after I swapped the PCI/Video cards. It will only work on dialup or on HomePDA (Ethernet, wireless both USB and card won't). These two computers are HP as well (about 2001 era). I think it is something with the motherboards myself. -- Bill |
