| How to enable Korean language on Windows XP Hello, I have Windows XP Pro, SP2. I need to conver this workstation into Korean. I have installed the East Asian languages from the XP CD, which has enabled some Korean, such as in Internet Explorer, but the rest of the OS and programs are still in English. Also, I would like to be able to type Korean characters and although I though I enabled the Korean keyboard, I cannot figure out how to type in Korean. Can anyone help me? Thanks, Michael |

Can anyone help me? There is no way to convert the interface to a different language. You'll have to purchase a copy of XP in Korean and clean install it. If wanted you could set it up as a dual boot with the English language version either could be run. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |

| RE: How to enable Korean language on Windows XP It is possible to view Korean in the entire system, like in Windows Explorer, Windows Media Player, etc. without the CD. However, you cannot input Korean without a word processor in Korean that uses pin-yin or something like that. Here's how to install the East Asian Language Pack for Win XP: In the Control Panel, click "Date, Time, Regional, and Language Options". Then click "Add other languages". Then under the "Language" tab on the top, check "Install Files for East Asian Langauges". You will then have to restart for the changes to take effect. Enjoy your Korean reading XP.
