| Re: error: internet explorer has encountered an error and needs to clo It would seem that Norton AV is the source of navsetup.exe explorer.exe is well explorer, and iexplorer (ver 7) is IE It looks like Norton is the source of the problem. There may be updates needed. | Re: error: internet explorer has encountered an error and needs to clo Hello, Try running IE7 without add-ons Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer 7 (No Add-ons) to start without any add-ons. Close the browser and see whether the problem occurs again. If the problem does not occur again, start IE7, go to Tools > Manage Add-ons and disable all the add-ons and enable them one by one till the problem appears and you get the culprit. -- Singapore Website Design http://www.bootstrike.com/Webdesign/ Singapore Web Hosting http://www.bootstrike.com/WinXP/faq.html Windows XP FAQ "matr" <matr@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B6129606-5D2A-4F59-8617-ADF9A2257647@microsoft.com... > have xp media center edition 2005, started getting this error alot since > updating to explorer 7. 3 total that give same error. 1-Faulting > application navsetup.exe, version 14.2.0.29, faulting module unknown, > version > 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x0178640e. 2-Faulting application explorer.exe, > version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault > address 0x00d0640e. 3-Faulting application iexplore.exe, version > 7.0.6000.16414, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address > 0x054e640e. thanks, Matr |
