Windows XP: to change the time zone from "Buenos Aires" to "Greenw I need to change the time zone from "Buenos Aires" to Greenwich Mean Time, but in list of cities doesn't appear: Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon or London. As a matter of fact the list above only shows seven cities from the whole list. What I must to do to change the time zone to Greenwich Mean Time?

Re: Windows XP: to change the time zone from "Buenos Aires" to "Gr I know that, the problem is that I haven“t locations at GMT +- 0 in the time zone list. My question is: Which are the steps to follow to include that location en the time zone list to proceed according with your advise?

Re: Windows XP: to change the time zone from "Buenos Aires" to "Gr Dear: "CreateWindow" In the dialog box "Date Time Properties" there is a combo box in the "time zone" section (I'am traducing the titles from spanish to english, because I'm working with a Spanish Version of Windos XP). The combo box list, shows 11 cities, but no one is located at GMT +- 0, that is Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon or London doesn't appear in the list. So I haven“t that choice available. I should update the Windows XP, in any uknown way to me, to have available that cities in the list then, after that, I could choice a city at GMT +-0 location, that is Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon or London. I hope I clarify my problem. Thanks for all.

Re: Windows XP: to change the time zone from "Buenos Aires" to "Gr Dear CreateWindows: I believe I found the solution usinf TZEdit for Windows 98!? I added the Greenwich Time Zone as a "customized" one , using TZEdit. Then I Click: Start/Control Panel/Date & Time and then, in the combo box list appeared my customized Time/Zone. I click in that item and voila! It woks. Please confirm to me if you agree , with this solution or inform to me if there is a better solution (less anacronic). Thanks for all.

Re: Windows XP: to change the time zone from "Buenos Aires" to "Gr Dear Roberto, Sorry I did not understand at first - as Rock pointed out (thanks). Yes, the registry settings that TZEdit works with should be fine. I'm not very familiar with them (right now). I recall that they can get complex and if it works for you - then leave it alone. Should be ok. I expect you want NO summer time in this machine. Anyway good! I'm glad you fixed it. But if you want to restore the missing time zones in XP so you don't have to use a custom setting, MVP Ramesh has a registry file available that should do it for you. See here: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/timezones.htm Hope this helps :-) -- Nightowl
