dial-up connection

when i'm done working online i disconnect through the 2 tiny computer symbols
on lower right hand corner. but soon after, it starts redialing a dial up
connection. How can i stop this so that i can disconnect and not have to
wait around to see if it is going to connect again automatically?

Click on Start >> Double click Control Panel >>
Double Click Networking and Internet Connections >> Double click Internet
Options >> click On Connections Tab then make sure this Radio Button checked:
(*) Never Dial a Connection
Click [OK]
Reboot your computer and try to connect and Disconnect, does it try to
connect auto?.
