VPN and Browsing

I have a VPN connection back to my office so Outlook updates all the time.
When I just want to simple browse the internet it seems that the traffic goes
back to my office and then back to me again. If I am not on the VPN my
browsing speed is much quicker. Any ideas?

Ask your network administrator to adjust the VPN settings
of your machine so that it uses the local Default Gateway
instead of the one at the office.

Re: VPN and Browsing

I have a similar issue and am using the Microsoft vpn to connect into a
draytek router. How can I change those settings from within the Microsoft
settings? I have looked but can't seem to find any options.

Re: VPN and Browsing

Control Panel / Network Connections / Right-click some
VPN / Properties / Networking / TCP/IP / Advanced /
Use default gateway on the remote network.

Sometimes you need to explore every corner to find
such things!
