| search in start menu and context menu do not open hi, OS: windows xp the search in start menu and in the context menu (whether for drives or folders) do not work. however, clicking the search button in windows explorer opens the search companion or the classic search pane or the windows desktop search (which ever one is installed/or used). I have removed windows desktop search or disable windows 2000 classic search. no go. I can rename, remove the search in the start menu, i just can't open it. does anyone know how to fix this problem? |
