Desktop and connection problem

One of the computers I maintain at our library has a weird problem. If
I set up a limited account it will allow me to put a picture on the
desktop but not coonect to out wireless server. If I set up a guest
account it won't let me put any picture on the desktop but will
connect to the server. What gives? I really want the limited account
for patrons for obvious reasons. Thank you.

Re: Desktop and connection problem

CMCANULTY,

I used to look after the library machines in one county in England, which
are called PN (Publin Network) & you could never remote to them & had to do
things from being in front of them. Are yours tied down as tightly or do you
use a similar setup?

Re: Desktop and connection problem

No, ours just has a straight wireless connection to the router. I may
have to just reinstall. It is impossible to maintain it in good
condition without a limited account, thanks, Carol M
