TIME WON'T SYNC!

When I try to sync to time.windows.com i get a message saying:

An error occured while windows was synchronizing to time.windows.com. The
time sample was rejected because: The peer's stratum is less than the host's
stratum.

I have an internet connection and the other host i have: time.nist.gov never
works when i sync it and it never did on my other computer either. My time on
the computer is 2 minutes off from the real time

SOME HELP PLEASE

Re: TIME WON'T SYNC!

How far off is you time/date?
I've had this happen when the time was off by many years. I kept thinking I
was MANUALLY correcting the time, but never noticed the year being off so
much. Once I manually got the date/time close, then it synchronized.

You just asked this less than 15 minutes ago. You need to learn some
patience.

Impatience is neither higly regarded nor rewarded in these groups.

Re: TIME WON'T SYNC!

There have been issues with the time -

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262680
A list of the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) time servers that are available on the
Internet

Just type in the combo listbox a time server you want then update.
No registry editing.

That's what I did.

Anyone know why time.windows.com is no longer working?
