Can someone please help me,,, I going mad look for help.. this is my last resort...

I recently bought a Hp TC1100 with win xp tablet editon on it, however there was some bugs, so after a lot of hassel, we found out it was a hard disk crash problems. Now this machine has no CDroms or floppy, only usb.

I bought a new hard disk, found a copy of XP and Media centre CD on the internet, copied both cd files to the hard disk, by installing it on my PC installed win98 files on the hard disk and plugged it into the TC1100 and it booted.

Once in Win98 dos, I ran smartdrv.exe and went into i386 folder and kicked off winnt.exe, however it loads Xp pro not Tablet pc or Media center.
it does not except the prodoct key on the machine either..

I tried this at least ten times, still the same..The sad thing is, i don't mind Xp pro , but there is no drivers for any of the devices on the machine.

Please, please, someone help me....

Yes, this makes sense. Windows XP Tablet PC edition is only available from the OEMs - the manufacturers, You might try to contact HP and see if they will send you a CD based on the serial number. If not Contact the person you purchased from and request the CD.

You may want to search these forums for other people's suggestions,too.
