usb ->random mouse

Hi,

whenever I plug in any usb device my mouse loses it. The cursor drifts down
to the right corner and seems to click on any random icons. I remember seeing
the fix for this prob, but I can't find it anymore.
the sys is a hp tc4200 tablet.

thank you

RE: usb ->random mouse

Could you give me more info?
What OS?
SP1, SP2 installed (for XP)?
What kind of USB device(s) that cause the problem?

Thanks,

RE: usb ->random mouse

Hi,

Windows XP
Tablet PC Edition 2005
Version 2002
SP 2

The devices causing this prob: ipod, lamp (keyboard light)
USB devices that are used but don't cause a prob: printer/scanner, usb
sticks, card readers, bluetooth

i've tried to delete the device drivers for the usb ports, no change though,
in case itunes and the ipod drivers might be causing this i updated to itunes
7.0.1, a couple system scans (w/ HP) that showed nothing but a happy sys...

Thank you
