That is quite true, and to be expected. You just can't expect Onenote to be able to read handwriting in a picture. Maybe someday. But my primary complaint was this: Say you have a Journal page where you have pasted a picture of something then written on or around that picture using ink. Now select that entire journal page and copy it. Now try to paste that into OneNote. You loose that picture from the original Journal page. The only way to retain that original picture is to past the whole thing as a picture. But then your ink is no longer ink. Actually, what I end up doing is to paste as ink then go back and copy the pictures from Journal. It is a pain but it gives the best results. |

| Posting to Connect. In article <#S7oN2P0GHA.772@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl>, taesler@gmx.de says... > P.S. Did post the problem in Connect? Don't bother with that any more. It is pretty obvious that they are gonna fix what they want anyway, regardless of what we post on Connect. The newsgroups were supposed to be THE way to inform MS about bugs and suggestions. Now they have gone and created some OTHER way which is much harder to use. No matter what you post on Connect the only response is either "Won't fix." or "We'll save this for later." Considering Microsoft's product cycle "later" is at least 4-6 years from now. I'm supposed to diligently enter as many ideas as I can now so I can see them not get implemented 4-6 years from now? I don't think so. I enter things in the newsgroups so other users can be warned and make more informed decisions. |

| Re: Posting to Connect. A technical beta tester needs to submit any bugs, suggestions, ideas within that beta structure, since they're all reviewed by the specific beta teams. Sometimes it seems like nothing happens, but then perhaps the suggestion isn't a specific target by the individual beta team. A technical beta tester needs to use the proper channels. -- Chris H. Would you count "Connect" as a medium for "technical beta testers"? I thought that the technical beta testing was limited to a private area and NDAs etc. Am I wrong in so far? > Sometimes it seems like nothing happens, but > then perhaps the suggestion isn't a specific target by the > individual > beta team. To clarify, I should have said _I_ don't bother with that any more. I just dropped the "I" out of laziness. I did not mean that others shouldn't use it. If you feel it will do some good go for it. _I_ just don't feel that it will. |
