| wacom on tablet PC When I use my tablet docked, it's inconvenient to flip it to table mode and write on it up in the dock. I've noticed a few reference to wacom tablets here. Will a wacom tablet interface to a tablet PC, and then work just like the real tablet face? Thanks, Ron Jeffries www.XProgramming.com |

| Re: wacom on tablet PC What are you doing to "flip it to Tablet mode"? My M1300 docked is always in "Tablet mode" since it is a Tablet PC. I'm trying to understand what you're attempting to do, or maybe why. 8-) -- Chris H. | Re: wacom on tablet PC Ron, since you're used to a Tablet PC, you might find a wacom tablet a bit cumbersome. You write on the screen and it shows on the monitor. Not quite as simple as writing on your Tablet and seeing it immediately right where you want it. -- Terri Stratton Microsoft Featured Community http://thetabletpc.net Editor/Owner http://writepc.net Microsoft Windows MVP- Tablet PC "Ron Jeffries" <ronjeffries@acm.org> wrote in message news:6t91u2tmbpv3u8oi50rc2hfeol6uggma10@4ax.com... > When I use my tablet docked, it's inconvenient to flip it to table > mode and write on it up in the dock. If I flip it to tablet mode, folded flat, then the auxiliary screen flips upside down, making it really hard to read and mouse in keyboard mode. I'd like to be able to write, type, and actually read on my aux monitor, all at the very same time! Thanks, Ron Jeffries www.XProgramming.com |

To clarify ... in the docking station the tablet is typically open, like a laptop. I view on a separate monitor plugged into the station, and type on a separate keyboard. Big, beautiful, all is good. If I fold the tablet down into tablet shape (It's a Toshiba M400, I should have mentioned that), it'll stay in landscape, which is the mode I prefer, but the external monitor flips upside down, with the tablet picture. And I want the tablet picture to flip, because otherwise IT would be upside down and hard to write on. I have found no way to flip the external picture back up, while leaving the tablet picture correct (i.e. with the bottom of the picture at the bottom of the keyboard). So I was thinking that maybe, at great expense, I could lash a separate WACOM with LCD into the system and write on it, while leaving the table and the aux monitor upright and visible. This may not as yet be clear, but I'm trying ... ;-> Ron Jeffries www.XProgramming.com |

Yes, I was thinking of one of the expensie ones with the LCD in it. Or maybe I should figure out a way to VNC or something to my other tablet ... Or mount the external monitor upside down ... I wonder how hard it would be to take it apart ... Ron Jeffries www.XProgramming.com |

| RE: wacom on tablet PC I use a wacom with my tablet - some clients are more comfortable signing with that form factor. I also use the wacom instead of a mousen docked and use it on another laptop - making onenote more friendly on the traditional laptop. I also plug it in to a desktop - I just like it - go for it.
