I am having problems with my Journal Note Printer disappearing from my
printer list. It happened at the begining of February. That time I went back
to a restore point and recovered it. This time if I go to a previous restore
point I will lose a lot of programs I have recently installed and would
prefer not to do that. Is there anyway to just install the print driver for
Journal Note Writer. FYI, I read a previous question from Drj and Chris H
referred him to a site. The link would not open.

You could try going to Start/Run and putting in "Journal /RepairNoteWriter"
without the quotes. Make sure Windows Journal is closed at the time you do
this. The other reference was this Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/824385/en-us (http through and including
"/en-us") which has step-by-step instructions for "How to restore the
Windows Journal Note Writer in Windows XP Tablet PC Edition". And the link
does work just fine here, just make sure you have it all (as noted)
included. The web-based newsgroup interface you're using most times botches
up URLs.
