Re: replacing pen battery

Sorry, David, but I don't have that type of pen to tell you. However, you
could use the online chat support from the OEM's web page and get
directions. If the item is discontinued, but you can get a back-up pen, I
would do so.

I don't think the stock tc1100 pen has a battery.

oh oh, it stopped working and I assumed it did - I thought it said it needed
a AAA battery ?

Re: replacing pen battery

I believe the early ones did, and perhaps they've switched over to using the
Wacom drivers now. That would mean if you have a relatively new model, you
may not have batteries. I would check with the OEM support folks to be
sure.

Re: replacing pen battery

The TC1000 used a battery, but the TC1100 uses Wacom technology.

oh dear so if a pen stopped working that would be a bad thing. I have
ordered a replacement - surely it will be the pen rather than the tablet ?

I hope so anyway

David

Re: replacing pen battery

Check the nib on the pen. You should have received a couple replacements,
along with the instructions (user guide, I think) for how to replace them.
If it isn't that, we can check other things. Has the pen stopped working
everywhere?

Re: replacing pen battery

Well, I tried it in the living room and the bedroom and it doesn't work
either place. Should I try it outside?

I'm sorry , I couldn't resist.

Yes, you should. Go out the front door, turn left and go until you find a
policeman. Ask him if he'll test your pen for you. 8-)

I did and the cheeky fellow suggested I was out of electronic ink. Do you
know where he suggested I go get a refill? My word.

Re: replacing pen battery

I'm pretty sure you can get a full charge from your local power company,
Sven. I'd go into their office and ask them to tell you where to stick it.
LOL!
