I was looking on the Acer C300 support website and I saw a BIOS v1.13
released 06-30-05. I downloaded and ran the file and now <BLANK SCREEN POST>!

Called Acer support and now I have to send it in. SOOOO PLEASE check with
Acer Support BEFORE installing the v1.13 Flash update. The person was saying
that you must:

1- Not have any peripherals (USB Mouse, jump-drive, printers, docking
station etc.) attached

2- Use a program called Winphlash (yep, that's the spelling).

Also, I'm suspecting that the v1.13 flash is for the newer C31x series
rather than the C30x series. :'(

Thanks for the heads-up on the file. There's no information on the web site
indicating the steps you've posted. If you're still in contact with Acer,
it might be a good thing to suggest to them.

I also found this very short post on TabletPCBuzz at

However, it doesn't mention anything about what the person did to update
their BIOS since it was pre-installed! It doesn't seem as though anyone else
knows/tried/posted anything else!
