Hello everyone. I amusing an M275XL Gateway Tablet PC and its going kaput. I
am wondering how I can do a system recovery even if it reverts me to the
original state of computer with default settings.
Seems I may havea virus and my restore options and any help options are
disabled. Any way I can do this in some other mode. Anything I just need help
but cant seem to get it while running windows normally
And I cant reboot from recovery CD because my CD ROM drive is not working
either. Also seems disabled.
PLEASE HELP!

Randy, I would suggest to immediately contact Gateway support and have them
lead you through the process. If you have a virus or malware/spyware on the
system, you may need to boot into Safe Mode to get into your computer to run
checks. There is a wealth of information on infestations here:
www.aumha.org/secure.htm which has links to free programs to check spyware,
etc., and the Aumha Forums (there's a link in the page above) includes a
very active security forum.
