| My Font Tool PowerToy creates jagged fonts Has anyone here used the My Font Tool powertoy for the XP Tablet Edition? I wrote characters and symbols in each of the font table boxes under the "Write" tab, and the text looks nice and smooth in the preview box under the "Adjust Spacing" tab. But then it looks jagged in the preview under the "Compile Font" tab after I compile the font. It surprises me that the preview under the "Adjust Spacing" aren't identical to that under "Compile Font". I have ClearType on, by the way. Has anyone else noticed this inconsistency between the previews in the "Adjust Spacing" and "Compile Font" tabs? |

| Re: My Font Tool PowerToy creates jagged fonts Not really. The program is one of the PowerToys, so isn't officially supported anywhere. You might try uninstalling it, then rebooting and installing again to see if it makes any difference. Seems to me, when I was playing with it when it first was available, the results you're seeing are normal. -- Chris H. | Re: My Font Tool PowerToy creates jagged fonts It seems to do it in both portrait and landscape mode. Here are three screen shots of what I'm seeing: http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~gordeon/screen/ I appreciate all your help so far, especially considering that this isn't officially supported. |

| Re: My Font Tool PowerToy creates jagged fonts I'm sorry. I don't have any idea. I'll pass this on to see if the Tablet team has any experience with the issue, even though it's not officially supported. -- Terri Stratton Editor / Owner http://thetabletpc.net http://themediacenterpc.net Microsoft Featured Communities Microsoft Windows MVP - Tablet PC "C.O." <CO@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8C13055D-B572-4BC8-A48A-B00A20FAEDC8@microsoft.com... > It seems to do it in both portrait and landscape mode. > > Here are three screen shots of what I'm seeing: > > http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~gordeon/screen/ > > I appreciate all your help so far, especially considering that this isn't > officially supported. |

| Re: My Font Tool PowerToy creates jagged fonts Terri, While you talk My Font PowerToy with the Tablet PC Team, any chance of adding the following: The font generated by the My Font utility is flagged as not allowed for embedding. This prevents its from being embedded in documents to be able to display it on other computers (Word, PDF, ...), as well as on Web site using font embedding (Microsoft WEFT). Changing the flag to allow embedding would make these fonts much more usefull. -- Philippe Majerus Microsoft MVP - Mobile Devices (http://support.microsoft.com/support/mvp) Software, Documentation and stuff - http://www.phm.lu |
